Homeowners Insurance
Is intended for people who live and own their own home. Under a homeowners policy, coverage is provided for detached out buildings, personal content, additional living expenses, personal liability, Voluntary Medical and property damage. Each policy is subject to a deductible. Sewer backup and other endorsements may be available for an additional premium.
Tenants Insurance
Intended for the person who reside in a building they do not own but require coverage on their personal belongings. This policy also extends coverage for additional living expensed, personal Liability, voluntary medical and property damage. Subject to a deductible.
Seasonal Dwellings
Intended to provide coverage for a dwelling you own but only occupy on a seasonal basis. This coverage can vary from basic Fire coverage to an All Risk coverage depending on the dwelling and its occupancy. Seasonal dwelling coverage is usually attached to the home or Tenant policy.
Mobile/Mini-Homes
Anything manufactured after 1978 is considered a Mini home. Anything prior to 1978 is considered a Mobile Home. There are polices available for these homes that are owner occupied, rented, seasonally occupied. The extensions for this policy are usually the same as a homeowners policy.
Rental Properties
Intended for those people who have purchased dwellings that are rented to others. Generally, there are very few extensions under this type of policy and the coverage is usually limited to Fire and Extended Coverage although there are some companies that will offer expanded coverage. This type of policy is normally purchased in conjunction with a home policy.
Watercraft
Intended for those people who own personal watercraft including sailboats, powerboats, jet skis, and jet boats. This coverage can usually be purchased in conjunction with a home policy, but we also have specialty markets that do provide such coverage.
Personal Catastrophe
Due to the nature of today’s society, third party liability is becoming more and more a consideration for many people and as such, a personal catastrophe or umbrella policy can provide increased limits for liability over and above the limits provided by the basic policies over which it sits. As well, it can provide expanded coverage to help eliminate many areas where coverage may be either excluded by underlying policies or there is no underlying policy in existence.
